#1. What is Vinegar Syndrome's Totally Rad! Labor Day Sale?

Throughout August, our amazing team in CO has been working hard to ship thousands of pieces of inventory back to us here in CT. This means our Bridgeport warehouse is as cramped as ever, and we need to make some room! 

Similar to the 2023 Warehouse Sale, the Totally Rad! Labor Day Sale gives us the chance to make space for our incredible slate of upcoming releases and gives you all the chance to stock up on discounted titles and merch. This year, we are adding a fresh batch of OOP products, new VSMC products and promotions, catalog slips, new merch, and more! 

Our sister site, Mélusine, will be running it's own sale in tandem with Vinegar Syndrome, so be sure to check out what is happening over there as well!

#2. When does it start?

The sale begins at 12:01 AM EDT on Friday, August 30th and runs through 11:59 PM EDT on Monday, September 2nd.

NOTE: Both Vinegar Syndrome and Mélusine will be shutting down around 10:00 AM EDT on Wednesday, August 28th in preparation for the sale. 

#3. What is going to be on sale?

A variety of products will be discounted during this event, including releases and merchandise ranging from 10%-75% off SRP! There will be special discounted sections of the site to browse.

Important note for Subscribers: If any titles are discounted further than your usual 50% off SRP discount, you may see a higher price than the sale price. Please place your order an email us so we can refund you the difference. 

In addition to the items being discounted, we will be launching a new batch of 'Out of Print' titles each day of the sale. The first drop of OOP product will be when the sale starts, Friday 8/30 at 12:01 AM EDT (midnight). The Saturday, Sunday and Monday OOP drops will take place at 12:01 PM EDT (noon). Be sure to come back and see what's being added!

We'll also be launching our normal September lineup of VS + Partner Label releases at 12:01 PM EDT on Sunday, September 1st. Plus, keep an eye out for new releases, exclusive products, VSMC promotions and more during the event!

#4. What exclusive products are you talking about?

Based on the success of last year's sale, we are implementing a new VSMC exclusive reward for our high spenders:

• If you spend $500 or more during the sale, you will automatically receive access to a new, limited VSMC product, that you will be able to redeem with a coupon code.
• If you spend $750 or more during the sale, you will automatically receive access to a new, even more limited VSMC product, that you will be able to redeem with a coupon code.

Important Note: This promotion is for Vinegar Syndrome only, Mélusine purchases will not count towards your total spend. Also, your 'total spend' is the total amount paid, so any discounts used will not count towards your total spend. 

If you reach the spend goal, you will receive an email with the coupon code and more information on how to gain access to the product page and us it.

Plus, our VS mobile app will have it's own limited, exclusive product available for purchase, so be sure to pop on the app to see what's in store there!

#5. What are the 'Out of Print' products that were mentioned?

The 'Out of Print' (or OOP) titles getting added during the sale are products that have sold out in the past that we have unearthed in our warehouse. This is due to a variety of reasons; from locating a forgotten box in back stock to going through returns and/or damages that have been processed by our warehouse crew.

Remember, the OOP section(s) will have products ranging in stock levels, and will be extremely limited. The entire collection will have a strict 1 unit per customer policy in place. Any orders that exceed this limit will have the extra items refunded prior to shipping.

Some OOP products may come with slightly dinged corners, imperfect edges, small scuff marks, etc. from years of warehousing and storage. Due to the expected imperfections and limited nature of these products, we will not be honoring any replacement requests for damages. 

And remember, adding an item to your cart does not reserve you a copy, your copy is only secured once paid for. If an item sells out before you are able to check out, it means all copies have been sold and we will not be able to amend your order to include it. 

Important note: All OOP sales are final during this event. We will NOT be accepting refunds or cancellations for any OOP products.

#6. Will the September 1st launch be the same?

Yes! As we mentioned above, all of the September releases will be still be launched on the 1st at 12:01 PM EDT. This includes our lineup of 7 brand new VS + sub-label releases, as well as our 19 Partner Label titles! Plus, Mélusine will also have it's normal 12:01 PM EDT release of new titles on the 1st. 

#7. Will I be able to add to an existing order during this period?

Yes! Order stacking is now always active whether it is during a sale period, or not. If you have an unfulfilled order that you paid shipping on, you will automatically have the free 'Add to my existing order' shipping option enabled. 

NOTE: Customers must be logged in to view this shipping option. Subscribers will have the same shipping option available to them.

#8. Anything going on at the Mélusine website?

Yes, certain VS releases will continue to be priced at 50% off SRP, while other products will be discounted at different rates. Mélusine will also have it's own OOP section that will be available to browse for the entirety of the sale. 

As mentioned above, Mélusine will have it's own September 1st launch of two brand new releases -- one from Peekarama and one from Distribpix!

#9. Will free shipping thresholds still be enabled during the sale?

No. Free shipping thresholds are disabled during most of our larger sales & events, including this one. 

#10. When will everything ship?

We will begin shipping orders on September 9th, starting with Subscribers. All sale orders and pre-orders will be shipped out by the end of the month.

Important note: brand new Pre-orders will be available during the sale. If you are adding to an existing order that contains a Pre-order item, the merged orders will not ship out until later in (mid) September. If you wish for your Totally Rad! Sale items to ship out before then, place those orders separately and be sure to pay for shipping.
